THE ORGAN

Donated by Madame Elizabeth GEHIN, member of an important family of textile industrialists from Saulxures-sur-Moselotte, the instrument was installed in 1869 in the old church by the JACQUOT – JEANPIERRE organ factory in Rambervillers. inaugurated on March 7, 1869.
This instrument marks a final evolution in the style of Jean-Nicolas JEANPIERRE towards the aesthetics of his nephew Theodore. We will note, among other things, the arrangement of the fan-shaped pedal.
During the complete restoration of the Saint Prix church by the Municipality of Saulxures, work supported by the Lorraine Heritage Foundation and the Saulxures Parish, this work did not concern the organ. A subscription was launched in 2015 for its " Lifting ". The instrument was taken up and inaugurated in 2017.
Thank you to the patrons, private or public, who responded favorably to the call for subscription.

It is also thanks to them that the organ has been able to regain its sonority and luster of yesteryear.
